I had a lovely New Year's stay at this cozy little spot. The location couldn't be better, just a quick 2-minute walk to the promenade! The owner was super friendly and even surprised us with a bottle of bubbly on arrival, which was such a nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for our needs. Plus, we couldn't have asked for a quieter atmosphere, allowing us to really relax and enjoy our getaway.
I did notice the heating could’ve used a bit of tweaking. Some rooms were a bit chilly at night, which made it hard to get comfy. It might be worth checking on that if you're sensitive to cooler temps. though, it was a nice experience!

It made for a refreshing retreat after a long day. The en suite toilet and shower added convenience, while the thoughtful amenities, such as tea, coffee, biscuits. It was a comfortable setup for a cozy night in.
I did find the room rather small. With the bed feeling more like a ¾ size than a double, it was a bit challenging to walk around.

The Topaz hotel was very good in many ways. The room was comfortable, with a tv, a mini fridge, and a selection of tea and coffee that included hot chocolate and biscuits, which I appreciated. The bathroom was well equipped too, although it could use a bit more ventilation. Staff were friendly, especially Rose. I loved having a book in the room detailing local dining options and entertainment, which really helped us plan our days. I encountered issues with the shower pressure, inconsistent. I would have preferred at least two pillows per person for a better night's sleep. The decor felt a bit dated in some areas, and a couple of minor cleanliness issues were present, such as dust on surfaces in the room. Though, a pleasant stay with some minor tweaks needed for an even better experience.

Two nights in a Budget Triple Room highlighted the cleanliness and quietness of the accommodation. Issues like a sloping bedroom floor and inadequate electrical outlets diminished the comfort of our stay. The absence of breakfast was unexpected and the bathroom cleanliness needs improvement, with damaged furnishings further affecting the overall experience.
